The communal areas of the hotel were very pleasant, with a choice of watching a good selection of DVDs. The decor in the room was comfortable and had lots of character. The staff were friendly and helpful, making our stay enjoyable.

The room we stayed in was tiny and felt claustrophobic. It had no natural light or air, which made it hot and uncomfortable.

Good breakfasts. Quite. Tropical (inside the forest but still very close to main town)

Yellow water came from the tap. Smelly rooms. Small rooms (at least the standard ones). Staff were not communicative at all

The staff and owners are amazing!! The locations is perfect, not too far (for the luggages) and not too close by the centre (for the noise). Also the breakfast is better than most others that I have had in Brazile.

We had a superiour room with garden view and they are a little and the small side. The hammocks need a wash.

The hotel offers great value for money, providing affordable prices for a charming and unique experience. The attention to detail is evident throughout, from the well-maintained wooden walkways and decks to the comfortable and tastefully decorated rooms. I particularly loved the hammocks overlooking the lush green hills, providing a perfect spot for relaxation. The staff were friendly and helpful, ensuring a pleasant stay for all guests. The buffet breakfast was a highlight, with a wide variety of fresh dishes, including delicious tapioca "pancakes.

Everything was satisfactory and met our expectations.

The pousada has a nice feel with each room having character and balconies with hammocks which was lovely.

I decided to leave early as the weather in Ilha Grande had turned to being horrifically wet. When I went to cancel and was within my rights to get some of the money back they had made me pay fully in advance of the last day, the staff were more than reluctant to refund money as they should have, did not know what was on the internet around their cancellations and refunds policy and actually at this time were rather rude. I decided after trying to reason with them to leave without a refund - the fact they speak no other languages does not help. I was trying to explain in both English and Spanish but they didnt understand/ didnt want to. this whole occurence at the end of the stay ruined it &i think actually called into question the owners.

I had a wonderful stay at this hotel! the value for money was excellent - the prices were reasonable for what they offered. Secondly, the attention to detail was impressive, from the well-maintained rooms with hammocks overlooking the green hills, to the jacuzzi bath that provided a luxurious experience. Lastly, the breakfast was delicious, especially the tapioca "pancakes" that were a unique and tasty treat.

All aspects of my stay were great.

The hotel was beautiful and we found its location very good, because it was only a 5 minute walk from the main street, but still was very silent and hidden from the crowd. The rooms were a bit small but totally ok. They were clean everyday. Breakfast was really good.

The hotel staff was not friendly. We arrived at 11pm and they wanted to charge us the minute we got there (even though we had already been charged for half of our stay). We asked to do it in the morning and the minute we got up for breakfast they charged us. We had asked (in our reservation) for an extra bed and, because of their mistake, we had to carry a bed from the back of the hotel to our room and then they found out that it was not our room. Kitchen staff was very nice, though.

Beautiful hotel with comfortable rooms and a lovely breakfast. The staff were very helpful and the location was a 5 minute walk to the waterfront.

No complaints it was a wonderful stay.

I came here alone for 3 days to relax and unwind, what a great experience. The rooms are clean and extremely comfortable. The staff were okay, however, one staff member, Cintia, was amazing and should be given a pay rise. From the first time I spoke to her on the phone until I left the accommodation when it was raining and she gave me an umbrella, her level of service was amazing. Disappointing not all staff were like her. Breakfast is lovely here and so is afternoon tea. The property has a big focus on sustainability, including water refill and no small plastic wash things.

Would be happy to recommend this hotel.

    - Staff' kindness and aivailabilty. English spooken...no so common on island. They made all possible for our needs. - Position and architecture - Very important: no mosquitos - VIP room's details

    - The standard room is very very very small as well as the bed. You have a choice: your bags or you! In addiction the mold'smell is strong! We changed room after one night. - The 'vip' room has very thin walls: you can hear every single breath of your neighbor. - The bathroom water is never really warm. - The wi-fii internet connection works almost never. You have however to stay in the reception area...the wi-fii signal is weak. - Could happen you have to wait for a free table to have a breakfast.

it's absolutely green, you feel like living in the jungle. Still, facilities are fine and clean. 5min walking to the beach and the lively village center. Nice breakfast buffet with exotic fruits, varying daily.

Inetrnet does not work - but that is advertised, so ok...and it helped a lot to relax from biz life :)

This hotel has a great location, right in the center of the village, very close to all the restaurants and attractions. the rooms are clean and comfortable, with great service and a lovely breakfast. You will enjoy the garden, which is green with a lot of birds and hummingbirds. the communal areas are cozy, with a nice selection of DVDs for entertainment.

The noise protection could be better, as it is possible to hear guests arriving at night.

Very difficult to review such an amazing stay in 300 words...but simply put this was such a good pousada, ive already made plans to go back. Location, Staff, Breakfast, Cleanliness are all positives. If I had any negatives at all they were minor..perhaps more of the staff could speak even a little English, although you should learn some Portuguese if you go to Brazil anyway. Only other issue was the room walls being a little thin. This is not a place for children, so look elsewhere if your taking kids to Ilha Grande, otherwise you will annoy all the other guests. Outstanding...

Noise Insulation between rooms, Lack of English with most of the staff.

We were Very pleasently surprised on arrival at the tropical feel to the pousada. The staff were very nice and did all they could to make us feel welcome. Tea coffee and cake was served free every afternoon. The rooms were lodge type cabins which were lovely and picturesque. They were clean and nicely presented. There was no safe in our room which maybe isn't ideal but we did feel very safe and secure there. I do think that the staff were very honest and that our belongings were safe. Breakfast each morning was very nice and fresh eggs availabe on request. The location is also good but you do have to walk on a sandy road so not good on a wet day or for cases. Overall we' were very happy with our experience.

The only issue I had was regarding a safe but other rooms had them. I also feel that maybe unlike Rio it was unlikely your belongings would be touch by staff.
